The majority of the associate members are civil engineers. They are full members, since in addition to enjoying all the benefits inherent to membership, they participate with their vote in the election of the governing bodies of the Association.
At present, the student members come from the different Spanish schools that offer the degree of Civil Engineer, whether they are public or private centers. The program developed by the Association for students includes international projection, professional interest days, conferences and invitations to the various activities organized.
Within the category of collaborating members professionals from other fields related to public works are enrolled, including civil engineers from other countries (international collaborators), either by voluntary affiliation or as a result of agreements in force with foreign civil engineering organizations, such as the one in force with the American Society of Civil Engineers.
